No friends, you are friendless


The people at church leave me alone,

I feel like I've been hit by a stone.

They talk behind my back, I know,

that was not so long ago.

It's Christmas Eve, and we're at the service,

What is even the purpose?

They see me and walk away.

I feel that they have bitterness on this day.

I have a resolution to make:

I will talk, even when I quake.

I will stay when they push me away.

I will stand when they let me down.

I will make friends by and by.

I have discovered that this truth is real:

No friends and, you're friendless.

I made a deal.

I talk. They listen. Then we turn it around.

They talk. I listen. Things are going to abound.

My heart may have dropped to the floor,

but I have faith that in it all,

my Lord, my Jesus, shall never fall
