In "Blow, Blow Thou Winter Wind," Shakespeare uses an extended metaphor comparing the winter elements to human unkindness. I have to write a narrative journal entry and i have to pick extended metaphor about winter, which has to be something to compare with winter.

whoever stood near could feel her fiery hatred like a lit fireplace in winter she was distant but when you did come near you knew her presence was there like winter the freezing feeling always there.

Voldemort is a cold like winter. Cold in the sense that he has a dark soul. He speaks with an unfriendly tone similar to the feeling you get when it rains in the winter. The darkness starts early as he enters a room like sunsets early in the winter. When he terrorizes the other it’s like snowflakes falling because you never know when he is coming.

       It is always cold in the winter and the coldness he shows is similar. Cold meaning at a low temperature which might make you shiver. Voldemort is similar to this because sometimes when he looks at you, you might shiver. A cold, wet, dark winter is the perfect way to describe Voldemort as a person.
