Help what are the units and slope

Help What Are The Units And Slope class=

Sagot :

Answer:

See below.  Slope is 3/2.

Step-by-step explanation:

The left side of the graph is missing the units (the y axis).  The x axis is in hours.  If the y axis is labelled something such as $, the unit would be $/hour.

I attached the graph with added y axis markers and have noted two points on the graph that we'll use for calculating slope.  They are (2,3) and (6,9).  If the y axis had values other than what I've shown (integers from 1 to 12), then the points, and slope would differ accordingly.

Assuming the values I've marked, the slope is calculated from the Rise/Run of the line.  That is, how much the y value increases (or decreases) for the corresponding change in the x value.  The change in y is called the Rise and the change in x is called the Run.

Going from left to right for the two points (2,3) and (6,9):

Rise = (9-3) = 6

Run = (6-2) = 4

Slope = Rise/Run = 6/4 or 3/2
