I cannot understand the following sentence that I heard in TED talk.
“He wakes up a lot of mornings.”

Would anyone explain that meaning?

I searched the line and found the TED Talk it's in, "12 truths I learned from life and writing" by Ann Lamott. In the context of the rest of what the speaker says, although the way she phrased the sentence can be confusing, I think she meant that often, her grandson wakes up and says that the day ahead could be the best one ever.
