M. Hamel is a French teacher who was doing his job in a school for forty years . He tell about French language that " it was the most beautiful language in the world , the clearest, the most logical that we must guard it among us and never forget it because when people are enslaved as long as they hold fast to their language it acts as the key they had to prison.

  • He said these so because that day was the last day of M. Hamel in the school and country and also French was no more tutored in schools . As France was defeated by Prussia led by Bismark. Prussia had undertaken the distincts of Alsace and Lorraine and everybody was sad of hearing that ' it was their last lesson of French language.
