Kush earned a lot of money when they were trading (especially iron) in their capital of Meroe because it was strategically placed. When they stopped trading iron because of the shortage of wood to burn to smelt iron, their trading came to a halt. This combined with people from Axum attacking Kush caused Kush to fall. Axum benefited from the great trade location by a lot. Greco-Roman traders would come and offer many important goods.

The kingdom of Kush and Axum have a positive impact in terms of earnings and abundant money from trading and the negative impact is the failure of Kush which became an advantage for Axum in trading.

The kingdom of Kush was earning abundant money from the trading of iron ore as it was very thoughtfully placed in the capital of Meroe. Their trading stopped due to the scarcity of wood which was burnt to melt into iron. This happens due to their collaboration with the Kingdom of Axum which resulted in the failure of Kush. This failure benefitted the Axum in iron trading.

Therefore, the earning of money from iron trading was a positive impact and the emergence of Axum in iron trading after the failure of Kush was a negative impact.
