Fire and Ice
BY ROBERT FROST
Some say the world will end in fire,
Some say in ice.
From what I've tasted of desire
I hold with those who favor fire.
But if it had to perish twice,
I think I know enough of hate
To say that for destruction ice
Is also great
And would suffice.
Directions:
1 Certain words have been underlined. I want you to take
what Frost created and make it your own. Change the
underlined words to make the poem personal.
2 Using claim, proof, commentary formatting, what is your
poem about?
3 Identify the rhyme scheme (if there is one).
4 Annotate it!
