Personal Definition of Culture:
To me, culture encompasses the shared beliefs, values, customs, traditions, and behaviors that define a group of people. It’s the lens through which individuals perceive the world and influences their thoughts, actions, and interactions with others.

Cultural Groups:
Based on my definition of culture, I belong to three cultural groups:

1. Ethnicity: I identify as African-American, with roots tracing back to Africa. My cultural heritage has shaped my upbringing, values, and family dynamics.
2. Religious Community: I am a practicing member of the Baptist faith. The rituals, beliefs, and practices associated with it contribute to my sense of identity and worldview.
3. Academic Community: As a graduate student in ABA, I am part of a scholarly culture characterized by shared knowledge, norms, and practices within the field of behavior analysis. This community influences my professional identity and perspectives on research and clinical practice.
