The Song of Achilles is narrated from the perspective of Patroclus, a character that is relatively forgotten in his footnote of Greek mythology. Moreover, Patroclus lives alongside the main characters of well-known stories, and is killed off before many of these other characters. Contemplate Miller's decision behind using Patroclus as the narrator instead of other characters (i.e. Achilles, Odysseus, Hector, etc.).
